The personal viewer was developed as a covert device that can be worn on the head like a normal pair of sunglasses. The personal viewer contains a video monitor located on the inside of the right sunglass lens as well as a micro-video camera. The camera captures the environment in real-time and is simultaneously projected back to the right eye in proper alignment. This enables the augmented experience to truly overlay itself upon reality, as the left and right eye combine the virtual image with the environment seamlessly. The personal viewer is a private device. Not only can others not see what your seeing but in most cases they cannot tell that you are wearing anything other than a normal pair of sunglasses.
